Privacy Policy

Effective November 2, 2026

The short version

  • DiamondKing has no accounts and asks for no personal information.
  • There are no DiamondKing servers. The app makes no network requests.
  • No analytics, no crash reporting, no advertising, no tracking, no third-party code.
  • Your games stay on your iPhone. Backups go to your own iCloud, which I cannot see.

Who I am

DiamondKing is built by Chad Delp, an independent developer. "I" and "me" below mean that one person. You can reach me at support@diamondking.app.

What the app collects

Nothing is sent to me. DiamondKing contains no networking code — no requests to any server of mine, because I do not operate one. There is no sign-up, no login, and no analytics or crash-reporting library of any kind. The app has no third-party dependencies at all.

What you enter, and where it lives

You create the content: teams, rosters, jersey numbers, pitches, at-bats, base-running events, umpires, and the statistics derived from them. This is written to DiamondKing's own storage on your device and stays there unless you choose to back it up or share it.

iCloud backup

DiamondKing can save snapshots of your games to your iCloud Drive, where they appear under Files → iCloud Drive → DiamondKing. This is between your device and Apple, under your Apple ID and Apple's terms. The snapshots are in your iCloud account, not mine; I have no access to them and no way to request them. If you are not signed in to iCloud, the app reports that backup is unavailable and otherwise works normally.

Bluetooth and the Watch app

DiamondKing uses Bluetooth to send a pitch call to a wearable you have paired — your own Apple Watch or compatible device. The pitch call travels from your phone to your watch. Nothing is transmitted to me or to anyone else.

Sharing a backup

You can export or share a backup folder yourself, through AirDrop, Mail, or another app you pick. That only happens when you initiate it, and where it goes is your choice.

Players' information, including minors

Scoring a youth game means typing in children's names, numbers, and how they performed. Please read this part carefully.

TestFlight betas

While DiamondKing is in TestFlight, Apple handles distribution and collects its own installation and crash information under Apple's privacy policy. If you send feedback through TestFlight, Apple passes it to me — typically your comments, any screenshot you attach, your device model, and your iOS version. From the app, that is the one path by which anything reaches me, and only when you deliberately use it.

This website

diamondking.app has no analytics, no advertising, and no tracking. The one thing it collects is the email address you type into the early-access waitlist form, if you choose to. The form is handled by Netlify, which hosts this site, and Netlify stores the submission for me. I use that address only to send beta invitations and launch news about DiamondKing. I do not sell it or share it. To be removed, email support@diamondking.app and I will delete it.

Deleting your data

Deleting the app removes the games stored on your device. Demo and imported games can be removed in Settings → Demo & Test Data → Clear Demo Data, which leaves real games untouched. iCloud snapshots are yours to delete, either in the app or in the Files app. Since I hold nothing, there is nothing to ask me to erase.

Changes

If DiamondKing ever starts collecting anything — an account system, sync, analytics — I will update this page and change the effective date above before that version ships, not after. Material changes will also be noted in the app's release notes.
